Tidy Cats Free & Clean Unscented is a clumping clay litter with activated charcoal. The maker lists no fragrances and no dyes. It comes in a 14 lb jug, 20 lb jug, 35 lb pail, 40 lb box and a 40 lb bag bundle, so you can pick a size by how you store and carry litter. [2]

Dr. Elsey's Ultra is an unscented natural clay litter that blends heavy granules with medium grain clay. The maker says it has no perfumes or deodorants and can be used in sifting or mechanical boxes. It lists a 3 to 4 inch depth and scooping twice daily, with waste going in the trash, not the toilet. World's Best Multiple Cat Unscented
World's Best Multiple Cat Unscented is made from whole kernel US grown corn plus a proprietary natural plant material the maker does not fully name, and has no artificial perfumes. Current sizes are 8, 15, 28 and 32 lb. The maker calls it quick clumping and suggests 2 to 3 inches of depth with daily scooping. [4]

View on PurrifyUnscented does not mean odor-free
Leaving out fragrance removes a perfume, not the smell of waste. Fresh Step's up to 15 days of odor control is the maker's claim, and this page quotes no odor result for Tidy Cats.
Cornell's Feline Health Center says most cats prefer unscented, finer-textured litter in general guidance dated January 2015, and the same page advises daily removal of clumps and feces and one more box than you have cats.

Clay covers most of the list: Fresh Step, Tidy Cats and Dr. Elsey's, plus Boxie's Unscented Natural Clumping Clay Litter, listed as bentonite clay. World's Best uses corn and Healthy Pet uses wood fiber. Picks follow three criteria: label wording, base material and bag size.

The phrases are not interchangeable. Fresh Step says 'formulated with no added fragrances or dyes,' and its FAQ uses the word fragrance-free. World's Best says 'no artificial perfumes,' which rules out artificial perfumes only. Arm & Hammer's Cat Litter Deodorizer Powder lists fragrance among its ingredients, so mixing it in adds one. Purrify's activated carbon is fragrance-free, so it adds none.

Cornell notes most cats prefer unscented litter, which makes unscented the usual starting point. If a cat begins avoiding the box, Cornell advises a veterinary examination to look for underlying causes.
